  There are tons of different breakbeat patterns out there.  A simple 
2-step beat would work just fine, and it sounds funky and gets people 
going... Try it out! :)

  I have a book that you might want to check out.  It's called "Drum 
Machine Rhythm Dictionary", and it's by Sandy Feldstein.  Lots of 
good starter patterns in there.
