Elektron Musical Instruments

The MD responds to standard program change messages on its base 
channel, only. (Using these is actually the fastest way to flip through a 
bunch of kits, if, say,  you've forgotten what that kit has the BD you're 
looking for).

  I don't believe you can load kits via a MIDI message; however, you 
can change patterns, and in Extended mode patterns are tied to a 
kit.  I use this feature very often.  The new pattern loads 
immediately when the current pattern is done playing, with absolutely 
no latency between them.
