Elektron Musical Instruments

So what exactly is so special about the mono machine anyway? I mean,
its very clear why the MD is so cool, there is nothing else out that
is not a toy in that arena ( ok maybe excluding the xbase ). But there
are plenty of great synths out. What will make the MM better than the
rest?
