Clean hot solder joints, good components, etc. ------------------------ if the md would be a "tank" the potis shouldnt break away that easily. i like the fast dial, but i would prefer a more solid construction design. if you leave the md in your studio all the time, you will never have problems with that. on tour, and with the hazards you might encounter there, the knobs are breaking away too easily. this happened 5 times already to me, and i really always keep the md in my cabin baggage during flights. on that issue about the "tank" internal wiring read here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/elektron-users/message/2305 one more thing i would like to have on the power supply is the possibility to use it in countries with different voltages (110-230 volt)...the MPC does this, my Novation Nova does this, and for the Gear which uses "standard" adapters i can get local ones cheap and easily. greetz...
