what kind of tweaking were you doing that you hadn't saved your pattern
for hours?  it saves every time you exit record mode. so were you just
running the realtime recorder for hours and hours while tweaking?

or did you mean that your *kit* tweaks hadn't been saved? this would also
confuse me because kit tweaks aren't dumped when you restart, only when
you change kits (or load a new pattern with a different kit). when
you're in pattern mode, that is.

I agree about the plug, though. it would be nice if they had those
little plastic dealies that you wrap your power cable around; the ones
that are attached to the chasis, adjacent to the A/C socket. but in all
fairness, their plug is nothing out of the ordinary. and if you want to
modify your MD, you could certainly attach something to hold the plug in
place. actually, with no modifications at all you could probably do it.
just find the appropriate screw for the rack-ear holes, screw it 3/4 of
the way in and wrap your power cable around it a couple of times. :-)
