As the owner of a synth with joystick I can tell you it IS a problem (especially when there's no spare parts at all and the joystick control parameters not available some other way) But the joystick used by Elektron is a "common" make from a big manufacturer (seen it while browsing for this kind of gizmos last spring) so a replace would be possible.
