I own a FIZMO Rack and, while I do love the sounds (it's true, nothing sounds like it), the synth has worn thin on me. It's impossible to really push a FIZMO to it's limits using just the knobs on the front panel. Sound Diver *necessary* to get everything one can out of the synth. I don't like that so much. Also, while it is completely unique, it's range within the 'unique' playing field is nowhere near as broad as other 'unique' synths. I've considered selling it many times, as the clumsy interface and 6lb editor-dongle (my powerbook w/ sounddiver) sort of force it to get special treatment in my studio. Some gear is worth special treatment... but, to me, I think in the end the FIZMO will not. Special treatment is reserved for the synths I can't live w/o. My patchable analog synth, for example, can't store patches, so it has a 3 ring binder next to it with patch sheets, but man I couldn't live without the thing...
