lol...... well..... a little like him....

RDJ did a show one time where he just cued up his tracks on his laptop, 
pressed play, and then battled people from the crowd onstage on Sonic the 
Hedgehog over a projection screen.  Sorry.... that rocks like birds!

Nope, only using hardware.
It's more reliable and more fun to work with.(IMO)
I don't like to watch a performance where people are looking
hypnotised at a laptop all the time.
I once saw a guy at a live contest with only one laptop. He didn't
look at the crowd once and was only looking at the screen like a
statue. The people backstage where very dissapointed with this set
and my friends in the crowd thought he was watching porn while
playing a CD.
Would anyone like to be like him?

Also the less you look at screens and make music just by ear, the
better it will get. Learn to work youre gear/sequencer like an
instrument itself, you can make a true live performance this way.
I think that elektron gear is perfect for this job.
