While I'm not a sherman owner, I could have been. I had an Akai MFC42 and a Sherman side-by-side to mess with for a couple days, and ended up going with the MFC42. The $500 price difference wasn't worth the sound difference. To me, by going with the MFC42, I got 90% of the quality for 40% the price.
