Elektron Musical Instruments

Hey guys,

   I finally cracked the MD back open for the first time in a really
long time. The first thing I did was update the OS to 1.12b. Well,
after going through the update and the flash update I saw the elektron
logo and "F 1.12b" along the bottom but it didn't move on from that.
I'm not sure if it restarted or not - the process took somewhere
around a half hour so I wasn't too intense in watching it. So I turned
the MD back on to no avail, then I tried a "soft reboot" or whatever
it's called and after a restart it worked. Came up with kit 79, which
was blank, so I tried to load a kit and it locks up when I hit "enter"
while "load" is selected in the "kit" screen. So I restart and then I
decide to set a hi-hat for this current kit and save it. Bring up the
"kit" screen, hit "save" and it locks up. Load or save kit always
locks the MD up and I have to restart. Any ideas? I tried sending in a
kit, from the "files" section here, through MIDI and it was received
but I couldn't find it without the load kit functionality working
(although maybe it's because I'm not familiar with receiving kits from
MIDI and the quickest way to get to use them). I read that the kits
are stored on a battery - could the battery be dead? Like I wrote, I
haven't used it in a really long time. Any advice appreciated. I
should be getting the MM tomorrow...err, today.
