hmmm then the md is the only machine that has the spikes. tryed everything .. the power to my studio isnt connetced to any of the other machines in my house

It's probably a heating element somewhere in your neighborhood being
switched on/off. A cheap spike protector haven't helped me in similar
situations, maybe a UPS or a bigger spike protector solves the problem.
Try the machine at a friends place, it'll probably sound fine there.
Additionally try turning off every on/off device like fridge, water
heater and so on.
