It's probably a heating element somewhere in your neighborhood being
switched on/off. A cheap spike protector haven't helped me in similar
situations, maybe a UPS or a bigger spike protector solves the problem.
Try the machine at a friends place, it'll probably sound fine there.
Additionally try turning off every on/off device like fridge, water
  heater and so on.

  Cheers,

Andreas (waiting for the MD to arrive..)

I get considerable shocks in my 220 studio. I don't think this is
your problem. Check your levels in your mixer, especially if it's a
sound card involved. Tell us what you're running the MD to.

If not get your hearing checked. Recently, I have been hearing a
sound even through the telephone when originally I thought it was the
MD. It vibrates my head...

I've been doing some researching as well. I switched a lot of stuff off, but
it just doesn't help. Strangely enough, it's just one of the 2 main outputs
that clicks now and then... Is that the same in your case?

thanks,

Jasper

stupid question, but are you trying it with different kits? if not then
try it with every possible kit and try it with one of the preset kits.

you've probably thought of this already, but if not then maybe one of
the kits just has a bad parameter setting that's generating the clicks.
or maybe it's the effects settings, etc. (try bypassing the effects by
assigning things to individual outputs (including the suspected bad
main output).

good luck!
Joe

Hey!

Thanks for all the replies. I tried selecting different kits yesterday, but
that didn't solve it. I just did a memory reset and guess what... it's gone!
It has something to do with my settings or maybe some corrupted data. I'll
try to load my kits back and see if that helps... I'll keep you posted!

Thanks again for all the help!

Jasper

A quick update: it's somewhere in my kits! I loaded just the patterns and
there's no problem, but as soon as I load my kits in, the thing goes crazy.
A bit anoying, but I'm happy it isn't the hardware!

hmmm....I'm surprised that my suggestion was correct :-)

but anyway, that's great news that your hardware's ok. it's better to
spend an hour finding the problematic kit/machine than to be without the
MD for weeks while it's being repaired.

be sure to post what the problematic kit/machine/parameter is (or
however close you can nail it down).

Hey!

It has cost a few hours of work, but I found the problematic (is that
english?) kit. I've uploaded it to the yahoogroups-site:
http://f3.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/kImmPzv7iSXoe1NHaiyfoZmcZCJCoQIAY4Bs6_eD34lnmsv
i3-_u57rCRkmqnPUYz5jyrANnkz_wTuA-9KkJhqKO4-c/Machinedrum/Kits%20%7C%20Patter
ns%20%7C%20Songs/%80%A0%A0%F8ther%20file%20types/clicking%20kit.MID

Very strange, how a kit can get corrupted like this. I'll try to rebuild it
and see if that cures the kit...

Thanks for all your help!
