i killed my sidstation

i killed my sidstation

argh!

such a stupid mistake... i plugged the md powersupply into the sidstation... 
watched the pixels dance for a while and thought 'what is wrong now?!' - 
until i realized what i've done wrong, all was too late...

now the sidstation won't load the os or even anything, when turned on all 
leds are lit and all pixels of the upper display line are slightly lit. 
pressing several keys when turning on (flash os upgrade) doesn't help.

i've found a message about the 'emergency boot' mode - any info on that?

i wrote to elektron also but got no reply yet.

damn, i need my sidstation again...

Hold down the "D" button while you turn it on. If it doesn't do anything you'll probably need to get a new os chip from elektron. Good luck!

by the way, what color is your Sid (I was checking out your webpage)? it
looks to be purple. is that a custom paint job? or is that the Sid Ninja

Oh man, that is the gayest response i have ever read. and don't think you can convince others of your hetrosexuality by putting a porn link on your message.
 
The poor guy knows what he did wrong. there's no need to call him retarded. if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything. i guess that could apply to me too, but if my sid got burnt like that, i would be really upset. i certainly wouldn't appreciate what you have said.

i feel ya man.. last week i made the same mistake with my Braintec 
TransistorBass-3.. plugged in the wrong power supply and killed it. 
only difference is, the SidStations are easily replacable of the 
second hand market, and elektron is still in buisness so they can 
repair it, the Braintec isn't. only 400 of em were made (as opposed 
to 1,388 sidstations), and they were made in 1994 by a long-since 
gone under company.. ive been having difficulty finding somebody able 
to repair it because of the lack of information on this rare synth.

worst of all tho is i paid near 400 EUR for it and the day i got it 
in the mail and 1st plugged it in i fried it!!! didnt even get a 
chance to hear what it sounded like!!!

so hey, be glad your not me!
