yes you can make them sound like one sound, with the MD you build your own kit and just last night I used a bass drm with another sound and made a different sound all together. The MD lets you assign the synth sound to any of the sound selection, let me explain better, say you don't like the snare sound you can replace it with any other sound by setting it to the snare part then you have two of those sounds. It allows you to layer the sounds. Forget about what all the other dnb artist use, get something that you can use and come up with your own style. You'll be happy with whatever you decide to get. --- peter gremme <pgremme@...> wrote: > ok, but can you make them sound like it's one sound > ? > and you're right about the styles that are used in > dnb, > does someone here seen a MD in a dnb-producer's > setup ? maybe in the > knowledge ? > those ram-guys make massive beats, but do they make > them only with samples > from old records or > do they also use MD, rackattack or NI battery ? > > peter. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Automatic Panic" <thesoundzoneinfo@...> > To: <elektron-users@yahoogroups.com> > Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2003 7:18 PM > Subject: Re: [elektron] MD suitable for Drum and > Bass ? > > > > You can combine a hihat with a snare hit on the > MD. > > There are alot of different sounds that can be > made > > from this machine.
