im looking forward to adding one to my rig very soon, perhaps as soon
as tomorrow if im lucky =O)

dnb has branched off to incorporate so many different sounds and
styles that its hard to nail down one type of snare sound as being
the "right" snare. take kemal for example...he's taken dnb in a
different direction with different sounding drums and not in a
typical way, but still very effective (esp on a soundsystem-try
kemal's 'plan b' on Timeless to start). almost any snare can be used
respective to all of the other elements. IMO its better to zero in
on what you are feeling instead of tracking that "one" synth or drum
machine down that the other producers are using to get a specific
sound. you will go a lot farther that way.
