i know, but it even would not be a copy ->
it would be just a kind of selective pattern loading ->
when you load a pattern it is loaded into ram ->
so why not just loading a "one track part of a pattern" into the ram
-> it would be a pattern mix, but the loaded pattern has not got
anything todo with the saved patterns.. (from a memory technical
perspective) ->

i'm a programmer too and i think that for this feature it shouldn't
need many changes in the code (but of course i don't know the code
:).. the problem would be the visualisation of this pattern mix (for
me a simple star beside the active pattern indicator would be
enough) ->
this feature would give the mm a lot better live capability!

cut and paste would create redundant pattern information (for
instance if the beat doesn't change) -> and the cut and paste methode
is not flexible at all..

I know daniel said no more features untill MMOS1.0, but it think this
would be a kind of killer feature for more *real* live performances!
I also know daniel always says -> keep it simple -> this is simple and
nobody who isn't missing this feature would be influenced...

what about all the other beta testers? wouldn't this be cool?
what do you say daniel?
