But I don't see how to implement a good UI for this. Paste is now 
performed as you let go of the paste-button. We could make some kind 
of scroll-list with all patterns that you could optionally access on 
paste, but it would be dead boring if you need to go from A01 to H16 
while you keep the paste button pressed.

If you are not using only the MD/Mono in the live situation you 
could also use another machine to bridge the gap while you are 
changing and pasting. But I guess that wasn't what you wanted. :)
