this is the 2nd time i had to type all this soooo... i have windowsxp os (i hope thats what os you mean), a MOTU fastlane- usb midi interface. i make sure the midi out on the interface goes to the midi in on the monomachine. I load the .95 sysex file in either midiox with both nums @ 512 and both sizes @ 2048 or I load it in sendsx (you cant change settings, but thats what i upgraded to .93 with, 1st try, no prob.) i access the early function menu or whatever its called and make sure its waiting for midi upgrade by pushing trig 5. then i send it. the computer tells it sends, the interface lights up with a blinking led meaning it is active. the 1st led on the left goes orange, then the rest go green from left to right sequentially, when it reaches the 16th the greens turn off and the orange turns on next to the 1st orange, the greens go on and so on. most times i get a message saying midi transfer failed, switch power off and try again. sometime the monomachine just freezes, as in the leds stop lighting up, while the cpu is definitely enaged in its tranfer. these things dont always happen at the same time during the process, it varies, sometimes like right off the bat, and i mean like right when i select send on my pc. the most orange leds i got up to was something like 4 or 5. i got that post saying that a soft reset might help, so after an unsuccessful attempt, i reset it, sometimes 2 or three times. sometimes i dont reset, but i still get the same results (error message or freeze) either way. So basically i do and observe all that and then repeat. and this is exactly how i went .93, nothing is different this time going .95. i just remembered that there's a midi file version, how do you use it? hope thats a lil mor specific. pat --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "Roonan" <info@r...> wrote: > --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "zebraoner" <zebraoner@y...> > wrote: > > any suggestions? > > gracias, > > ZEBRA > > If you write down exaclty what you do, what kind of OS, midi card, > patchbay and what you see when things go wrong maybe someone can > help you.
