ooohhh cool thats good because i live in thousand oaks CA. my
sidstation needs to be repaired or something, i have already
contacted elektron, like maybe 2 weeks ago about it and they told me
to send it in to them. but ive been lagging on it because of the
whole customs thing. that couldnt be anymore convienient.
ok i tried sending the new OS like you said Bryon in
windowsmediaplayer, it didnt work, at first it was because i opened
the second port on my interface. then i openeed the 1st port, and it
still didn't work.
to the other Brian S: i tried setting the pause to 250ms, but i dont
know what this asyncronous transmitting thing is, so needless to say
i was unsuccessful.
ok Ronald, i do not believe i have a faulty cable because i can send
data from monomachine to the computer no problem, and i 've never had
any problems before with sysex on the interface on my other stuff. i
upgraded before to .93 with it. i upgraded to the lastest os for my
sidstation, like a week ago because Fredrik at Elektron thought that
it would fix my problem, the transfer worked, no problem. even though
it doesn't work it still got the new os. i tried swapping out a new
midi cable, and it still didn't work. the usb cable still works with
everything else i own, so i dont know what the deal is. the current
driver i have upgraded my MonoMachine to .93 no problem, and i dont
have any friends where i can try the upgrade at, i live in thousand
oaks, home of a thousand dorks, Bryon D. might know what im talking
about or he might not. and i havent contacted elektron about it,
though i will right after this.
anyways i appreciate the help, ill keep trying.
thanks
ZEBRA

figured now was as good of a time as any to fill in all of the north
american owners of Elektron Equipment. Effective immediately, I am
now the US based service rep for Elektron ESI. All repairs for North
America will be handled by me, here in Los Angeles. You will still
have to send all repair correspondance to Elektron in Sweden
directly, but once they have recieved your information, they will
then direct you to send your equipment to me, instead of over seas.
Also, please keep the following in mind. I am a technician, not a
programmer or designer. Please continue to direct all of your
questions regarding operation of the MonoMachine to Daniel at
Elektron. I just fix this stuff!

having, I can say the following: I have had to upgrade the OS in a
few Mono Machines, and this is what I have found. I have tried using
Mac OSX 10.2.8 with Sysex Librarian. I have tried Windows 2000 with
both MIDI-OX and Windows Media Player.

set your prefered MIDI playback device to use the USB interface. I
am very confident Zebra, that if you follow these instructions using
your MOTU Fastlane USB interface, that you should have the same
success. This will work for Windows XP as well.

There will be MMOs0_95.mid, MMOs0_95.sys and MMOs0_95.txt.

Media Player for you. If it doesn't, you can manually open Windows
Media Player and then select 'Open' from the file menu.

Playback' selection. If you don't, then I would assume you would
have to have the MonoMachine connected to Port 1 of the Fastlane
Interface.
