Yes, you can record notes either on the MIDI channel assigned to the track, or the special "auto-channel", which follows the channel you select on the Mono-interface. This was made with the table-top in mind. > I wish they would give more info about the tabletop version, though. There are no secrets really. It's all the same, even running the exact same OS! Just missing eveything you see to the right on the keyboard. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, <epetitmartien@mac...> wrote: > now 600 is a "bit" too muchÂ… there must be some building reasons > behind that (more time consuming to make?) That is correct. The Mono-keyboard is actually very complicated to make, and we made many special solutions to cram everything in there. We didn't want to go away from the Machinedrum-size-standard, and it was hard to meet the high-voltage regulations in the little space we had. It makes the case quite expensive to make. And also, there is a reason you don't see that kind of wide array of LED's on many synths. Try to make a circuit board that wide without it breaking! :) There are many reasons for the Monomachine keyboard costing some money, but we really wanted to reach our vision with the way it looks, and the way it makes some kind of lego-feeling together with the MD! That, and that I always wanted a synth that will get attention on stage. :) Daniel
