I've experienced some weirdness with that and other synths when trying to use the MIDI sequencer; the MnM would change to different patches on the external synth at random times and other weirdness. this could freeze your Sid, especially if the MnM tries to change the Sid to a patch number greater than 99. the Sid will not wrap patch numbers greater than 100 back to 0 and you will in fact start corrupting your memory if you tread into this area.
