I guess I don't understand why not, when it is
something that would satsify both sides of the
argument, keeping both the folks who don't want their
current sounds to change *and* the folks who want new
features happy. seems like a fair compromise, no?

I mean, if it's something that would be a lot of
trouble to do based on the current structure of the
code, or something like that, then I can understand.
but just saying "I don't feel like doing it" almost
makes it sound like you don't give a shit about the
suggestions of people who've already spent their money
on your products. not necessarily the best PR.
