simple. To improve the instrument. There´s still a lot of potential 
MD buyers around. Imagine what a goot bit rate reducing algo would 
appeal to the 1000´s of hip hoppers around... this thinking 
economics. Thinking that elektron cleary shows that likes to make 
state of the art instruments, I´d do it just for the pleasure of 
improving my own creation. But hey, that´s me. 

plus, I´m not sure if the work is that much.
