joe, yeah, when i was reading the MD + MM manuals i thought that looked pretty cool! LSDj is what i use, and yeah cart writing is a bit of a bitch to get into. a lot less so now that GBA carts are readily avalible . . . and there has always been the demo of the program which is fully functional if you use it in an emulator (can get from www.littlesounddj.com) ... LSDj is actually my fav tracker ever, the song sequencing is a little different than the typical tracker list you describe ... it is a similar list 4 channels wide, and you can place parts of any length next to each other on each one (kind of like buzz tracker if anyone is familiar?) also i ment to ask roonan, are you using effects or mastering on the machines you list? again, very nice sounds ;D j.ordan > > I believe that's somewhat similar to what you're used to. but I don't > know, I can never get a hold of the gameboy carts that allow music > creation. I've heard great things about LSDJ but making a cart is a > pain and I've heard mixed reviews of nanoloop so I've avoided that. > I hope to play with them someday, though. > > Joe
