Okay, the SID can be reproduced with a C64 or > QuadraSID software, but the drums sound pretty "Elektron" I think. That was an awesome CD... especially the first two tracks. He had a Sidstation on his 2002 tour , but when I encountered him on his 2003 tour, he said that he was using Quadrasid because something was wrong with his Sidstation. It looked like the whole show was run from a laptop, but it was a wonderful performance anyway. [plug] Tarmvred also has a SID-heavy track on Mile 329's "don't touch my car!!" compilation, continuing his great tradition of mixing VGM and heavy, broken rhythm.... maybe just a little bit heavier and darker than his 6581 CD. This compilation also features excellent 8-bit material from Skincage and Isv (exploring the possibilities of circuit-bent casio keyboards in the artists' established song structures) and Naked Intruder (mixing atari 2600, NES 2A03, and Casio SK-1), as well as a healthy selection of heavily structured industrial music from veteran musicians and newcomers. Just $10 USD from http://www.mile329.org/ . There are a bunch of other Tarmvred compilation tracks with a lot of SID that I really like... the appearances on Force of Nature's "Dark Transmissions" and the "Zombie Commandos From Hell" soundtrack are great.
