hi stuart,

i like your idea for the sphere, it would be pretty
east to get, go to a tattoo shop and ask the piercier
if they have a threaded end for a 10g EXTERNALLY
threaded barbell... you might want to call around
first. and i would bring the mono with you when you
purchase it to make sure my memory serves me correct
about the nub being a 10g

i liked the nub better than the actual joystick...but
a ball on the end would be perfect.
