Elektron Musical Instruments

I have a question on how I should be changing
patterns on the MachineDrum from the MonoMachine.

On the MonoMachine, I use a midi track to send a
note to change the pattern on the MachineDrum
to the one I want (i.e. A4 to switch to pattern A1).
The problem I'm having is when the MachineDrum
loops, it tries to change back to the previous pattern
it was on. This can cause a sort of 'hiccup' if the kits
are different.

Is there a way I can change the pattern on the
MachineDrum 'permanently' from the MonoMachine?
