thanks daniel. I tried that thing with the trig select and it seems to have done 
the trick on any patterns i have created. But...... on pattern B03 - Yazza, track 2 
still requires me to go into edit and hit enter to make it sound. Why? It has a 
full trigger on step 1...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
