Thanks for the concerns chaps - 
it's still under warranty bought it brand spanking new 3 fooking 
days ago. 

There was a bit of grit or swark behind the LCD so all I did was 
unscrew the face plate and ease the pots off the stems and blow with 
some canned air the grit away.

The pots didn't like being lifted unfortunatley (very stiff -
snap!!).I've done this numerous times on other equipment with no 
problems.

just seen the pictures of the guy who opened his up in the links 
section and indeed they are mounted on the board. Looks like shes 
going back to Sweden for a makeover.

Unless they can send me some new pots to solder myself
