> try the Yamaha RS7000. I like it much more than the MPC in sound and functions. I made a little inverstigation conserning rs7000 and I must say it looks pretty nice. Mpc-4000 is very nice too, but it also costs a lot more. I have couple of questions about rs7000: 1. I've read some seqenecer edit modes, but it isn't clear to me that wether there is recording mode where I can hit notes where-ever I want (and not like in MD: to only 16 steps)? I mean can I play for example piano straight inside sequencer and it is not quantized (and I can quantize it later if I want)? 2. Can I start making music for example defining a loop of 2 or 4 bars (like in MD or MnM). Hit the play+record and punch stuff in as long as I want (and the loop keeps looping and the rs7000 sends play commands to elektron gear)? And is there some instant undo button to start over again? I know these are pretty specific questions, but after elektron gear I take easy sequencing pretty seriously. 3. Can I do multisamples (haven't found this info). For example I have one glitch sample in C4 and other in D4? 4. What stuff can you 'automate' or 'record in to sequencer'? In believe some effects parameters can be recorded? Mutes? How about something sample specific, like loop points? It seems very nice machine, but why does it have only 64 mb of sample ram... Toni.
