it might sound a bit obvious but have you tried the equalizer? I find that boosting the low frequencies gives me all the bass i want. i made some satisfying bass sounds using the supersaw and sidstation engines to create some interesting attacks and then pump up the low end with the eq until it sounds fat and solid. adding a compressor fx helps too.
