Elektron Musical Instruments

Hi,

As the title says.... but probably a stupid question. :)

Wanted to get some opions and links to reviews etc for the 
MonoMachine as I amy be intrested in buying one of these and there 
is pretty much no chance of being able to check it out first thanks 
to my isolated location. (in Australia)

Add to that the fact that at $2,100 (SFX60) & $2,700 (SFX6) it ain't 
cheap.... guess I'd better do some research first.

I will also point out that I am prepared to take a gamble with this 
sort of cash as Elektron have a good reputation round my studio 
courtesy of the amazing MachineDrum, plus their service.... (as 
Daniel was very helpful with my bugging questions before I purchased 
it)

What are the key differences between the keyboard & desktop?  Just 
that the desktop is missing the keyboard & the joystick? Is that it?

I think if they are the only differences then I can live without:

The keyboard: have some already

The joystick: have a kaoss pad if I want to do that kind of midi 
control

How do people find the functionality and the stability of the 
MonoMachine?

Current Setup:

Access Virus C
Akai MFC42 Filterbank
Elektron MachineDrum SPS-1
Korg Kaoss Pad 2
Korg MS2000
Novation DrumStation
Roland Juno 106
Waldorf Microwave XT
Yamaha RS7000

I would probably look at selling the Korg MS2000 & Juno 106 if I got 
a MonoMachine.... 

though the RS7000 may be on shaky ground as well if the MM & MD 
syncing = sik live action.


Any advice, comments etc much appreciated!
