yes. when in poly mode, only one internal track can be sequenced
(not sure if the external tracks can be used in poly mode or not) and
it has six voice polyphony.  otherwise, all six tracks have one
monophonic machine each (or an fx machine or an input machine).

yes. the external tracks share the LFO's with their corresponding
internal track number. other than that, they're independent; they have 
their
own pattern sequence and arpeggiator.
