trx b2 problem with machinedrum os 1.12b

2004-08-18 by music_ki

This is a problem that a fellow user had on another forum I visit,
and I couldn't figure it out. If anybody has any input, it would be
greatly appreciated:

Okay, I think I know what you mean now.

I tried again after a factory reset and loading the INIT kit.

At first I couldn't hear any differences between the beats, but after
making some changes on the synth parameters, I did hear the sound
change during the loop.

You can listen to a recording of the loop:

http://home.powertech.no/vhauge/TRX-B2.WAV

If you got time, could you please do the same on your machine and
listen if you get the same change in sounds ?

If you don't get this change in sounds from beat to beat after doing
exactly the same thing as I, then I know there must be something
wrong with my machinedrum.

Here's what I did:

- Factory reset
- Load INIT kit
- Choose TRX-B2 on the BD track
- Mute the rest of the tracks

On the Synth section:
- PITCH = 35
- RAMP = 35
- HOLD = 0
- TICK = 8

These changes should not produce any change in sound between the
different beats during the loop. The ACCENT is at "8" as default, but
changing it to zero or whatever doesn't make any changes....

Also, there are no parameter locks on the BD track.

All I can figure out is that maybe the LFO produces this change in
sound during the loope, but I have no routing to the LFO section
activated. (LFOD=0)

Anyway, the manual says that LFO is synced to BMP so it shouldn't
make any difference in sound from beat to beat.

If you could try this and report back to me, I would be happy.

Thanks
Regards
