The knobs have been the same as long as the MD has been in 
production, but the potentiometers were changed after sn.  220 or 
something. The previous ones were really hard to twist, and broke 
down after a few months. I think the MnM uses the same knobs and 
potentiometers as the MD.

Hold the function button while turning on the power. A screen will 
appear which lets you reset (soft, hard or factory) and upgrade the 
MD.

Not as far as I know. Or maybe there is one on the function+power 
screen, I'm not sure... If you remove the data wheel you'll access 
the LCD contrast adjustment.
