This is nice idea. I've never thought it that way (I've only layered
snares). Seems like you are working with samples instead of MD.
Nothing wrong with that, I would just like to stay within Md because
I've developed my beats sequencing tricks with it. 

What I'm trying to do is something like Aphex twin-style beats (who
isnt nowadays...) with lots of different details. So I'm not after
House-club kicks but would like to do my kicks and snares good anyway.
