Elektron Musical Instruments

i want to use the sound in the machine drum but not
the patterns.. i want to leave the sequencing to my
logic/cubase .. but how to do that.. every time i try
it.. it keeps starting up the pattern.. and i just
want to use the sounds.. in this instance atleast (the
pattern and song editor are not that bad
(understatement))

anyone here got any tips?
