Bug in song edit mode?

Bug in song edit mode?

2004-10-31 by davveknas

Okey.

I play pattern H16 in one row with OF LN: 00 16, nothing special. Next
row is still H16 but with 17 32, that should be alright. But when I
quite edit mode and go into standard song mode, the second row no
plays 17 49 and I can't change it. I have the latest update and
installed it two days ago, before I had version 1.01 and never
experienced anything like this.

I've tried making new songs, but this keep on occuring. As I said, it
has never happened to me before, but now it does it all the time.

Thought that perhaps some of the other synths sent some kind of
strange signal or something, so I also tried disconnecting all other
midi gear, but still with the same irritating result.

well 17 is the offset and 32 is the length in the editor. the editor
displays them this way.
BUT the song player shows them as begin/stop positions. so 17 49 would
be correct
then, since 17+32=49. the point is simply that you're telling the MnM
to start
17 steps into the pattern (which would actually play step 18 first, not
17) and to stop
playing after 32 steps (i.e. after its played step 49). make sense?

Thank you.

It was a while ago I used it, and I feel so very ashamed now. Also,
thinking it was a bug, in version 1.04, that's just pure craziness!
Elektron (with the good help of the community) has fixed everything to
the best, well, mostly.
