The MnM experience

The MnM experience

2005-02-03 by rattovic

Hi dudez,

I quite new to the forum, but as I could read the forum is quite
active.
I've both my MnM some weeks ago, directely from sweden, and it was
quite a bit cheeper than from a shop around my place. The service was
top and the devlivery fast!

I saw alot of demos around here, so I want to contribute to
that with a 1 pattern MnM minisong. I used only the MnM and
the Alesis Air FX. here you go

http://www.rudevoltage.ch/audio/beboelectro.mp3

what do you think about it? suggestions? ideas? corrections?

cheers

I am a logic user as well and use it as my master
clock for both the Machine Drum and Mono Machine.
I like the feel of the drum machine when runnng as an
independent sequencer not as triggered notes form
midi.
The same holds true with the Mono Machines built in
sequencer.--however , I cheat sometimes with the
MonoMachine because I have found soem frustrating
moments with getting to know it. Machine Drum was a
quick learn for me, Machine drum is trickier. If there
is anyone in the NYC area that woudl like to trade
notes and get together once in awhile to master and
beat these beasts please contact me.

Chris

Sjeez, I don't know what it is today! First I send an empty post, then I
answer to the wrong e-mail. Well, I hope this one is OK.

======

Oops, sorry for the empty post - just got out of bed ;-)

OK, here goes:

Nice track. A little bit too much distortion for me. Would be very cool with
some vocoded vocals a la Daft Punk. Try it and post the result!

cheers,

Gert

Hi again,

Thanks for the inspitarion.

Gert: yeah, i guess i just plaied to much with the distortion :)
I already tought of some vocoded vocals but theres no vocoder
nor sampler in my setup. But I'll try with an old microphon or
telephone... I dont have any software sequencer at all toad some voices ;)

Scott: It was my alesis air fx at 2:05, I have the tabletop version.
The stabby sound I think is a heavely retrigered hihat... I just love
this parameterlock staff you can do much more with it that just
recording the knob movements.

It's been a bit before my message was effectively revewed and posted
so the sound has changed a bit but I'll post new versions asap

Thanks again for the comments.. I really appreciate

Isn't there a very cool voice machine in the MnM?

If you wanted to upload any of your kits or patterns over at
elektron-users.com, I'm sure everyone would benefit. Keep up the good
work!
