Hi there - I'm looking to get a midi keyboard for my MnM, can anyone recommend a good one. I'm thinking of the microControl, but I haven't had a chance to try it due to my location. Does anyone have one? If so what's it like? Thanks in advance. J.

I just got the korg kontrol 49 which is a pretty awesome controller for the MnM. It has a vector joystick which the microkontrol does not and the keys are full sized and there are more of them. I hate mini keys (even though the size overall of the board is cool) so for this alone it was not even an option. There are also a few other added features which make it a good overall value and it is not too large. I highly recommend this for the level of control you have over the elektron. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, Jared Telling <jared.telling@g...> wrote:

Via the mod wheel if you program it that way but not via keyboard. Downside, but all the other features kick serious ass. This is the first midi controller I have ever been happy with. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "Wheaton, Simon" <simon.wheaton@c...> wrote: > Does the Korg Kontrol 49 transmit aftertouch? > > Thanks, > Simon > Canberra > AUSTRALIA > > -----Original Message----- > From: thebedroom23 [mailto:thebedroom@c...] > Sent: Wednesday, 2 March 2005 11:36 PM > To: elektron-users@yahoogroups.com > Subject: [elektron] Re: midi keyboard > > I just got the korg kontrol 49 which is a pretty awesome controller for > the MnM. I recently did a good amount of research into (smaller) midi controller keyboards before ultimately settling (although certainly not settling) on a microKontrol. The only smaller keyboard out there that transmits aftertouch (to my knowledge) are from Novation (i.e. the remote 25, which retails at 250-300 US). Personally, I don't mind the small keys of the microKontrol--thought I would when I tried it out some time ago in a shop--but they work very well. There really isn't another keyboard out there of this size that offers sliders, rotary encoders, and velocidy sensitive pads. just my $ .02 charles --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "Wheaton, Simon" <simon.wheaton@c...> wrote:
