Hi I'm new to the forum and to the sidstation. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a plugin for os x (vst/au) for filtering out some of the noise from the sid chip. I would prefer a free plugin but if there is one for a modest price that does a better job I would be willing to shell out the cash. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. -Dan

I use a DBX compressor limiter gate, and use the gate function when i use the sidstation. but you can get a simple guitar pedal noise gate. There are some cheap noise gates, on ebay or at 2nd hand stores i found lots of nice 2nd hand gear at http://www.cashconverters.com/ select you country to find one near you. Greetz Olaf

Hi
I'm new to the forum and to the sidstation. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a
plugin for os x (vst/au) for filtering out some of the noise from the sid chip. I would prefer
a free plugin but if there is one for a modest price that does a better job I would be willing
to shell out the cash.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I'm not too sure which I'm looking for, I've checked out the digitalfishphones stuff but I'm not sure if the floorfish is sufficient for the sid or maybe I'm just not setting it right. If you can provide any recommendations based on your experiences it would be much appreciatted. thanks -Dan On Apr 6, 2005, at 8:37 AM, niall munnelly wrote: > On Wed, Apr 06, 2005 at 02:27:10AM -0000, zodbot127 wrote: > > > > > > > > Hi > > > > I'm new to the forum and to the sidstation.
