bugfix!

Monomachine stability patch
---------------------------

After receiving a couple of reports of stability issues with
the latest Mono OS'es we rewrote the inner core and just
released the 1.05b. If you've had problems with DSP lockups,
please try this out and check if it helps. (DSP lockups =
unit stops reacting and emit a high pitched sound or no
sound at all) If you experience stability problems also with
the new OS, please contact us at support@....

You will find the Monomachine OS 1.05b at the support page
of the Monomachine website.

excellent. i can't wait til all my synths are out of their
boxes, so i can apply all of the fixes i've missed.

Re: [elektron] Something new!

Avoiding the chaos of Frankfurt this year, Elektron heads over the
canal to
the capital of UK for the Sounds Expo 2005 show! Held between the 14-16
of
April, Sounds Expo is the main music tech trade show of the UK. You
will find
us in the booth no 340 (SSC), back to back with Linn and Smith. We've
secured
a massive sound system, maybe you can trace us by the deepest bass
waves and
crispiest drum sounds!

If you have the opportunity, please come over and say hi! In exchange
we will
show you something new and hopefully exciting.

---------------------

I'm really excited to find out what they're working on. I guess I
should start saving up for it now.

Excellent! That gives me a week to come up with a
good business reason I have to be in London next
Friday :)

I'd pay whatever they asked for a supersetted
sequencer with Elektron's usability.

Re: [elektron] Something new!

I think it will be something similar to the Sidstation.
Which "vintage" chips are still available?

Pac-man was first released as an arcade, then on the Atari 2600,
bundled with the consolle.
What if... ;-)

Re: [elektron] Something new!

if it's got old school atari in it then i'm getting
it!!

I think I got it...

I bet it's based around the Z80 and the Namco 3 channel WSG (waveform
sound generator).
Makes sense to me.

Well the 3 pac-man icons are the exact same ones as is on the "VideoGame"
sidstation poster on my wall :)

I bet it's a new 'special edition' version of the MM with a real SID chip in it to replace the
modelled one!

It's going to be a pinball machine vocoder of course.

Even though, I seriously doubt it's an Atari based synthesizer, I gotta say
it...

STELLAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Okay, I'm done.

Speaking of Atari-based synths... Anyone try Paul Slocum's Synthcart?

Maybe they scored a bunch of the chips that were used in the Sequential
Circuits Prophet?
Otherwise, maybe a MnM style sequencer with support for long running
parameter sweeps, polyphonic arpeggiator, etc.???

I can dream can't I?

Or for everyone speculating about the Pacman stuff...

Maybe they just mean something with another level of Joystick control,
or they're just amping the powerup videogame metaphor. Cherries,
Strawberry, edible ghost.

Why do I get the feeling Elektrons site will suffer from the "slashdot
effect" next week?
