monomachine ground hum?

monomachine ground hum?

2005-04-27 by niall munnelly

so, i have this beating, low-frequency hum from straight
outta _tron_ coming out of all six outs on my monomachine,
independent of the master volume {well, only the first two
outs are connected to the master volume, but whatever}. i've
tried this with multiple power conditioners, multiple
outlets, a wide variety of audio* and power cables, three
different soundcards and, yes, i've tried shouting at it.

it should be noted that nothing else in the studio is making
this noise. i'm tempted to call this a problem with the
power supply, but i don't hear it in the headphone out, and
i thought i would.

any ideas would be hella appreciated.
