Mono Graphical Glitch...

Mono Graphical Glitch...

2005-05-14 by thebeinn

Hello all,

I've been using my new Mono SFX-6 for a couple of weeks now. needless to say, I love
it. reminds of playing Super Mario as a kid. Similarly addictive.

In the last couple of days I've noticed a peculiar glitch with my Mono. I've been
working on a new pattern and both track 2 and three have the same machine and
sequence. Whenever I'm on the Amp page and I switch to track three the volume
encoder becomes greyed out at it's current volume of 110. It appears as if it has
become parameter locked. Moving the rotary causes it to glitch but it stays stuck at
110 although the level does change. the bizzare thing is that if I then switch to track
2 the same thing happens on this track as well. It doesn't seem to appear on any
other patterns or machines. When I switch back to the pattern thi glitch is still there.
Switching the unit off temporarily removes it. It's becoming a bit annoying as I want
to make a change to the volume of the machines in question but every time I try the
same problem occurs.

Has anyone else experienced a similar occurance? I'm hoping that this is an OS glitch
and not a fault with my Mono. I have noticed a few other instances of erratic
behaviour with the track LEDS too but it hasn't replicated like this has.

Any thoughts/suggestions/comments out there?

Cheers, Jimmy

Hi..

i havnt had the same problems but im sure ive tried similiar machine setups
...i'd try runnign the diag tests ( power up the machine hold down {funtion}
and hit number 1..after the basic tests the function test can start...move
all the controller about and check the machines reaction...its obvious when
you see it..

otherwise check with elektron support...

good luck

joe..

I've experienced this too, although I've been unable to duplicate what
creates the problem. I have a pattern where on track 2 I have a bbox
machine and the dsnd paramter seems to be permanently locked. In
another patter with another kit , the dsnd is locked on every single
track. I have no clue what sequence of events causes it.

Re: [elektron] Mono Graphical Glitch...

Further to my earlier post, I've noticed that if I start up the Mono with the track that has
the graphical glitch selected, it is not there btu as soon as I press either of the affected
track buttons, it's there on both. Very strange...

Any further thought would be much appreciated!

Cheers, Jimmy H

P.S. Everything checks out ok on the function test.

I've experienced this too. Maybe it's a corrupted memory from usage of
earlier OS. One could try the soft-reset or something (the reset that
doesn't clear your memory, I don't remember here what it is).

It is annoying bug. It would be cool, if someone would found a way to
reproduce it. To me it seems to be only with a few patterns and stay
there, no matter if I clear them and program them again.

Toni.
