problem with my machinedrum after OS upgrade!

problem with my machinedrum after OS upgrade!

2005-07-07 by dumbass_user

I just recently upgraded my machinedrum to the newest OS 1.29D.

but Ive noticed a problem, if you have a machine with a sine wave with
a long decay, and enable it for each step. The decay periodically cuts
off!

so you get a sort of "dah dah dah dah doot dah dah dah doot dah"
effect. Sorry but thats the best way I can explain it. If you would
like I could provide a sound file.

Ive done everything to try to figure out why it does this. Soft reset,
empty reset, factory resets. Even in classic and extended mode. There
are no parameter locks, so that cant be it...

Ive come up with some kits that rely on sin waves and there now ruined
because of this. :(

has anyone experienced that same problem?

thanks a lot.

better still, provide the kit+pattern in sysex form.

I replied to soon, it comes back after a while! :(

here is my backup before my upgrade...

http:/members.cox.net/rifle123/MDbackup.syx

seems like no matter what I do it sounds like shit. Of
course anyone that downloads it and loads it wont be
able to compare it to anything...

especially patten A9. Thats the one with all the sine
waves...

but I did find 1 fix, just starting over. Doing an
empty reset fixes it. but loading my backup is a no no
:(

better then nothing...

You could send your sysex-file to elektron and describe the problem
to them. Your problem seems to be beyond our scope (this is just a
user-list). So e-mail to support@...

Toni.

I just did, elektron is really cool. They replied with "we're going to
be very busy for the next week. But we will get back to you as soon as
we can". Very cool imho.

most companys would just ignore the email and reply later, if they
would reply at all.
