Re: [elektron] Midi-Out of MD controlling synth

Your MD by default trasmits for every track, you need to go into the global options, I dont have my MD in front of me, but route the track you would like to the channel you would like... I assume you mean to run one track on channel 1 and all the other tracks to either not transmit, or transmit on different channels... The MD uses 4 channels to trasmit all its data via midi, you can choose channels 1-4, 5-9, etc..., so you need to route the track you want to transmit on the channel you want, and tell your other equipment to receive only that channel, Often most equipment by default accepts on ALL midi channels, so this is what you are trying to avoid.... Let me know ifI can be clearer and I can go get my MD.... -Jesse

Subject: [elektron] Midi-Out of MD controlling synth
Hello out there
this is maybe a stupid question but probably the easiest way for me
to solve the problem
which is following:
MD connected via midi out to computer. Now for example i create a midi
track with the MD
that controls lets say a synth in Reaktor.Strangely it seems that not
only the midi track
sends MIDI data but also the other tracks on the MD which f... up the
thing I want to
hear.By the way I tried to disable the MIDI output of the other
tracks which resulted in a
bigger problem namely the MD not having any output of the individual
tracks
anymore.Anybody got a solution?thanx
