I think this is the ONLY big problem we have on the MD today > lack of 
memory.
I can't create new kits anymore because all of the 64 slots are full, and 
i'm sure i will fill my 32 slots as soon as my MD will come back with UW 
inside.
By the way the problem with the UW is more important because when you want 
to add new sample, you have to erase some of them. But you don't want to 
erase the pattern you have done before ! So you must save the kit, the 
pattern and the samples somewheres and reload them as they where if you want 
to rework on old pattern. What a pitty !

Maybe Daniel can explain why the MD have no more factory memory, but it 
could be better. I don't know if you have try the Alesis Micron but the way 
you save data on it is the best way i have ever seen ! You don't have to 
care about memory slot like 99% of the modern synth. Just name your sound 
and press save, that's all ! After that sounds are classified by category or 
name so you found the one you make very easely. Then the OS tell you the 
space you have with a pourcentage (like "80%").
The first time i play with it i was very impressed by the space memory ! 
When you buy it you have more than 1000 sound and the memory space is not 
full ! So you don't have to erase factory sounds to make yours. I don't have 
my Micro since a very long time but i haven't fill the memory yet ! 
Unbelievable ! I don't know what kind of memory Alesis use for there Micron 
but it reallly rocks.

There is a lot of little things that the MD could do better but this is not 
very important. For me the only big problem, the problem who get me mad when 
i use my MD, is the lack of memory. I have bough UW extension, i will bough 
memory upgrade if i could. But if a memory upgrade could exist, it have to 
be consequent.
