Elektron US Repair

2005-12-26 by Jason

Hi folks,

Has anyone heard any info on an Elektron repair point being setup in
the states? After e-mailing tech support earlier this month they told
me to be patient, as they would be setting up shop in the US soon.
However, I haven't heard anything in a couple weeks, and my MM is
still sick (screen dim, then unit freezes).

In the meantime, guess I'll continue to feed it miso soup and orange
juice.

Jason,
I'm suprised to hear they don't have anyone setup in
the US? He may not fix a MM, but I was referred to
Stacey (Bryan) Dodds in L.A. for a warranty repair of
my MD. He may only do warranty repairs, he maybe
doesn't do work for Elektron anymore, but here's his
email, give him a shout:

staceydodds@...

I don't know why his name is I guess Stacey but he
goes by Bryan...

I think being Swedish it requires stroopwafels. Miso seems more
appropriate for the Electribe series, and orange juice for the x0x
family (citric ACID).

Aren't stoopwafels Dutch?

At least not Swedish in any way. :-)

Surströmming, bäska droppar, falukorv, Ahlgrens bilar, Pripps Blå and
other edible and potable things might be more apropriate for the Elektron
gear. :)

WTF are these things you mention? I can't even pronounce them
properly to decide if they sound good to eat. Sure, I could Google
them, but discussing Swedish comestibles on the Elektron list is more
fun.

Oddly enough, the problem went away and has only happened once this
week. Thanks for the information everybody - I'll get it repaired soon
enough.
