my two pennies
if you have kontakt 2, you can build/design a custom percussion sampler,
add some trigger pads and have a percussion meltdown
no need to to spend the extra $400
if the $ is no problem, the UW looks cooler and is slightly more fun to play with
but not even close to as powerful as what kontakt can do to drums
if you want the MD to be your drum hub, the one you go to everytime and do all your drums with - get the UW, you won't regret it. if you just want it as a sound source, skip the UW, it does sound great - but nothing compared to kontakt capabilities (but that's not really its point either)
