I'm mostly >worried about a funky/hard to find adapter plug... It's a normal plug! The 6VAC supply from Electron is rated for 2.8A. PS: 6VAC would give more amperes for the same watts compared to 9VAC. V*A=W. > Subject: Re: MD incentive questions >Anyway, elektron gear to me seems to be the ultimate hardware >purchase - it's hardware which is justifiably hardware since what you >can do with it and the way you interact with it would be very hard to >completely replicate in software...even with a dedicated controller. >Plus there is always the fact that it has that menacing red screen >which just seems to be continually taunting you to come over and make Another much overlooked asset of hardware is that it forces people to give it a serious try. They know the machine is good enough; if the sound doesn't fulfill their desires, it's their operator problem - not the machines fault. Software users seems to be endlessly searching for new programs to do things instead of learning to use what they have. It's also very difficult to gauge quality of software. Most of it is pure junk! Lastly, the hardware machines usually have better audio interfaces than your average M-audio 'audiophile' card. The MD and Mono truly makes their presence heard on stage. They're delivering more awesomely huge soundscapes than just about any laptop artist achives through their poor audio interfaces. :) Andreas
