It's a normal plug! The 6VAC supply from Electron is rated for 2.8A.

PS: 6VAC would give more amperes for the same watts compared to 9VAC.
V*A=W.

Another much overlooked asset of hardware is that it forces people to
give it a serious try. They know the machine is good enough; if the
sound doesn't fulfill their desires, it's their operator problem - not
the machines fault. Software users seems to be endlessly searching for
new programs to do things instead of learning to use what they have.
It's also very difficult to gauge quality of software. Most of it is
pure junk!

Lastly, the hardware machines usually have better audio interfaces than
your average M-audio 'audiophile' card. The MD and Mono truly makes
their presence heard on stage. They're delivering more awesomely huge
soundscapes than just about any laptop artist achives through their
poor audio interfaces. :)

I agree with everything except this last statement :) Not all laptop
users have poor audio interfaces.

Indeed, I'm as much a hardware guy as anyone, but stuff like the e-mu
1616 and motu traveler are forces to be reckoned with.
Even the Indigo affords low latency and great sound, and it's cheap!

Take care,
